Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case: Director Rumi Jaffery Summoned Next By The Enforcement Directorate; To Appear Today For Interrogation

After over two months since Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s sudden and untimely demise, the Supreme Court declared its verdict and ordered CBI to investigate the late actor’s case further. Amidst all that, the Enforcement Directorate is currently investigating the money laundering angle in connection to Rajput’s death and has questioned quite a few including actress Rhea Chakraborty, flatmate Siddharth Pithani and others. ED also questioned Sushant’s father, the complainant, and asked him to provide required details. As the ED investigation in the money laundering angle continues, it is director Rumi Jaffery who has been summoned next.
According to a report in India.com, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned director Rumi Jaffery to record his statement in connection to the probe into money laundering aspects after Sushant's father complained of financial irregularities in his son's bank accounts. The sources revealed that Rumi Jaffery has been asked to appear before the probe agency on August 20, as reported by the portal.
A Republic report stated that Jaffery spoke with the late actor two days before his demise. As Rumi Jaffery recorded his statement with the Mumbai police during their investigation, the director revealed that he spoke with Rajput on June 12, two days before his demise. The sources in the Mumbai police shared that Jaffery said that he spoke to Sushant via WhatsApp and that was his last conversation with the late actor, mentioned the report.

Meanwhile, until now, the ED has questioned actress Rhea Chakraborty, her Brother Showik Chakraborty, Rhea’s father, Rajput’s former manager Shruti Modi, his house staff and a few others. The ED also questioned Sushant’s father KK Singh and sister Meethu Singh recently. Rajput’s father was questioned about the financial transactions done from the bank accounts of his son and reportedly also asked about the late actor’s fixed deposits.
